CSU to offer school’s 1st doctoral program
Charleston Southern University will begin offering its first doctoral program, a doctorate in education with an emphasis in leadership, next year.
The first 20 students will start classes in January, which would have them completing the program in December 2021. Students will usually take one class per semester, studying and researching various leadership models. The program will conclude with each student’s defense of a dissertation.
The program is designed for working adults, with classes in the evening and on weekends. According to a news release, the program will provide skills useful in various administrative roles, including education, health care and business. Applications will open on July 1.
